Happy Birthday Ty'ah

A couple weekends back we had the pleasure of helping one of Layla's ex-'classmates' celebrate her 2nd birthday!  We had such a wonderful, fun, fun time!  I am sure the cute birthday girl below did too.  Just judging from the smile on her face.

Layla was having a ball just jumping around.  Sliding down.

I managed to talk her into going down a pretty large slide with me.

This is our action shot on the way down.

It took my breath away for a moment.

And this little lady below is another tot that attends Layla's 'Academy.'  And when she first arrived at the school, she resembled my red head when she was a baby.  Now they have grown into their own little people.

Then one of Layla's friends from school arrived.  They are both Bumble Bees.  A long firm hug was exchanged between the two before the real action started.

Richard took off down the slide on his own.  He surprised me with his courage.

Then he managed to talk Layla into going down the slide with him...

End result.  Precious...

Then she was brave enough to go on her own!  My BIG girl!

With the birthday girl...and the alligator.

That's a long story I may get into another time.

Happy Birthday Ty'ah!!!

We had a wonderful time!!!

Playing Catch Up

I need to play catch up because I have SO much to fill you in on from the weekend BEFORE Thanksgiving and about Thanksgiving.  I am taking a breather.

You should too.  And we will meet right back here again tomorrow.  Deal?

You better show up...

Love of Sunday Mornings

Hey ya'll, I am back!  Hope ya missed me.

It was another gorgeous Sunday morning yesterday and I have so much to be thankful for.

We had an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving.  (More on that later.)

There is just something about a Sunday morning.  It always seems so peaceful.  So calm.

That may have something to do with the fact that I have not found a church in my area since I moved.  (I know, shame on me.)  So we are not running around in the morning trying to get dressed and be on time.  That's how I remember going to church as a young kid.

However, I have not always been a huge church goer since around high school.

My mother raised us going to church.  A Baptist Church.  A Baptitst Pre-school.

My father was raised Catholic, however, he was never a church going man.

I have never considered 'going to church' a measurement of your faith or your relationship with God.

I have always been a very spiritual person who has a deep connection with God.  I treasure it.

It brings be considerable peace to rely on Him.

Now that I hve Miss Layla. I have really been thinking that I need to find a good church to take her to on Sunday mornings! (Heck, we're up!)

Learning about our Savior and how He saved all of us is something I learned and something I must now make sure my daughter understands.

Religion or Faith in this world is completely personal and there are so many different beliefs to choose from. But in the end.  We praise our God.  It gives us more to believe in.  At least, it does so for me.

I hope you all had a glorious Sunday morning!  Here's to a beautiful week!

So blessed and thankful!

I suppose I should take a moment now to share just a few things I am truly blessed and thankful for!

I am thankful for...
My life.

My God.

My family.

My job.

My home.

My Layla.

My friends.

My Everyday!

(And my xanax.)

And you.  I am thankful for all of my blogger friends that I have "met" this year!  You have enriched my life more than I could have ever imagined!

So I hope you and yours have a wonderful, terrific, stuffed-full-of-love kind of Thanksgiving!

So blessed and so thankful, indeed!
