oh hello there, 2013!

Hi!  Remember me?

I am here saying hello and making a promise to myself that I will come back to what I love so much...and neglected last year.  My blog and the blogging community!!!!!

So, with that said.  I am going to do a small recap {in photos, of course} of the last quarter of 2012.  Beginning right after we said good bye to my sweet grandma in October.

In November I got to see some wonderful friends for my good friend, Nicole's baby shower.  She welcomed Weston on December 5th.  #sweetbabylove

Yes.  Your eyes are NOT deceiving you.  I blew up!!!  I'm as big as a damn house.  I am taking care of that this year as well.  Time to jump on that healthy train!!!  Woot woot!!!!

On November 14th, Layla had her very 1st Field Day at school.  I know it is strange to have it in the fall, but  they did.  I don't get it either, but I loved every second of it.  Those kiddos are so fun.  And funny!

oh the dreams....they never stop....neither do birthdays!

I haven't posted on this is a while.  HECK, I haven't posted on jack diddly in a while, so.....there's that.  But these dreams of mine.  Oh, these dreams of mine.....Ugh, they wear me the eff out.  Non stop dreaming all night long.  Still.  Still.

While the dreams are now less violent, they are all still pretty intense.  The other night I had a dream I hid some money I needed.  In some trees.  Like, tree tops...of tall ass pine trees.  And then I went flying to look for the money.  Because I am now a fairy that can fly.  In a snow/rain storm.  Yes, I am strange.  I do recognize this.  Thankyouverymuch.

Snow
To see snow in your dream signifies that you are feeling indifferent, alone and neglected. If the snow is melting, then it suggests that you are acknowledging and releasing emotions you have repressed. You are overcoming your fears and obstacles.
To dream that you are watching the snow fall represents a clean start and a fresh, new perspective.  It is indicative of spiritual peace and tranquility.
To dream that you find something in the snow suggests that you are exploring and accessing your unused potential, abilities, and talents. You have uncovered some hidden talent and ability within yourself. It may also refers to a need to forgive.

Snowdrop
To see snowdrops in your dream symbolize rebirth, hope, and new opportunities after a period of inactivity. You are emerging from a time of darkness with a fresh attitude.

Money
To dream that you lose money suggests that you are lacking ambition, power and self-esteem. You are experiencing unhappiness and setbacks in your waking life. You may also be feeling weak, vulnerable, and out of control in your waking life...

Makeup
To dream about makeup indicates that you are putting on your best face forward. You are trying to enhance your self-image and increase your sense of self-confidence.  The dream may also be a metaphor that you need to "make up" with someone. It is time to forgive and forget.

Jewelry
To see jewelry in your dream signifies status and your own sense of self worth and personal value. It is also symbolic of knowledge, identity, or whatever qualities you hold precious in your life.

So yeah.  Rock on!!!  I am seeing the light at the end of this dark, dark tunnel of a year.  But don't ask about work.  Because honestly, it down right sucks right about now!!!  But I am guessing that the above repeating words of forgiving....plays in here.

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin', and hook up with them later.

At least my ray of sunshine, Layla, is doing fabulous in Kinder, so that makes this momma's inner turmoil just a tad bit smaller.

And very importantly...today is my boo, my baby daddy, my lovah mans birthday.  So, we are going out to celebrate!  I hope this year and every year are the best for you.  I love you.

This Manic Monday calls for a Meli Monday

Here I am.  Just another Manic Monday.  Ohhhh ohhh....I wish it were Sunday.  'Cause that's my funday.  {had to.}

So anyway....I don't come 'round these here parts very often anymore.  In case you noticed.  In case anyone is still reading.  {hello?  anyone...}

While I still have a whole lot going on...I don't have much free time.  Here's a picture breakdown for you...because pictures speak a thousand words {or so they say} and I just can't find the time.  {This Meli Monday is brought to you via GiGi's suggestion.}

{first there was this.  Layla turned 5!}

So this Five-Year-Old Family celebrated the best way we knew how.  And now are damn near broke because of the extravagance.  Worth it?  You betcha!

{momma and her girl}

{THE five year old!}

{daddy and his girl}

And then came this...

Yes, that is my car.  With a very broken driver side window.  Thank you asshat.  Some people suck.  Real bad-like.

But not enough to keep us from taking our girl to see The Lion King Off Broadway.

{She loved it.}

{And so did we.}

She is rocking at gymnastics...and we will soon have to find her a new gym to train and continue learning.  Sad about this one...

And I can't recall...did I mention she is F.I.V.E. now!?!

Oh I did!?!  Isn't she special?

I think so!  And I can't believe she is five freakin' years old already...I wish she would just STOP!  {ha!  get it?}

But I know she won't.  And she also won't stop loving ladybugs and acorns any.time.soon!

Oh so true....we register her for Kindergarten tomorrow!

Momma is soooo not ready for all this!

Manic Monday - 08.06.12

I am mentally preparing myself for the five-year-old mind.

I want to come down to their physical limitations

and up to their sense of wonder and awe.
