Happy, happy birthday baby

It is official, folks! Layla is exactly two years, 2 hours and 10 minutes old.

It was exactly two years ago today that Layla made her grand entrance at 8:43 am at Texas Womens Hospital in Houston, Texas weighing in at 6lbs. 8 oz. and 20 inches long. And our lives changed forever, for the better!

Here is our birthday girl waking up this morning. Poor thing. We let her sleep in, but then we pounced her as soon as she made a peep!

And you can see daddy started quizzing her about how old she was turning today before she could even wipe the sleep from her eyes...
And below are the 27 cupcakes I made for Layla's new class and old class. Geesh. 10 kiddos in her new class, 11 in her old, 4 teachers and 1 for the director and 1 for the assistant director. Do I know how to sweeten people up or what????

Here is the birthday girl - decked out in her new outfit Mimi bought for her!!! (I forgot to put on her Birthday Girl Princess Tiara! Ahh, there is always tonight when we eat THIS!) Here is one more pic for the road...or shall I say before we hit the road to Day Care and work.

Layla was sooo, SO excited that it was her birthday! After she woke up! She was jumping up and down, and clapping, and saying "yay!" "Happy birthday to you!" I guess we will need to work on the I and me part of that...

She is just so darn cute I can hardly stand it. And when we would ask her how old she was turning today, she would yell, "Twooooo!" And she has almost got the #2 sign down with her fingers. Almost. That is what she is trying to show daddy below...can you see it?

She was anxious to get to Day Care so she could "eat cake-cake with my free-ends!" I love how she loves to share!

Me and your daddy love you so much baby girl. And we are so proud of you. You complete our world. To a depth we didn't even know existed. And you will always, always...

...be our baby girl!
