You may recall this little girl...brave warrior...God's angel...Layla Grace, from my post here.
Her story has also been on my blog roll since the beginning of this blog, and I urge you to read about her journey.
Basically, her fight has become harder and God is waiting to take her home. Her time left here...in this life...is all up to the Big Man now. I am asking all in the Houston area that are able to come, please join us in a Prayer Vigil for her tonight. Click here for details.
The below is an excerpt from her mother's blog....and it left me in tears and so thankful all at the same time.
GOD SAID
“For a little while I’ll lend you a child of mine for you to cherish while she lives, and mourn for when she is gone. Look after her for me! It may be two or three years before I will call her home."
Will you care for her?
"She’ll bring you love, joy and happiness and should her stay be brief, you’ll have a whole host of memories as solace from your grief. I cannot promise she will stay, since all from the earth returns to dust, but there are lessons taught below that I want this child to learn."
Will you love her?
"I’ve looked the whole world over in my search for teachers true, and from the masses that crowd life’s lane at last I HAVE CHOSEN YOU. Now will you give her all your love and not think your labor in vain and turn against me when I come to take her back home again?"
I fancied that I heard you say to me: “Dear Lord, your will be done, for all the joy your child shall bring the risk of grief we’ll run. We’ll shelter her with tenderness. We’ll love her while we may, and the happiness we’ve known forever grateful stay. But should the angels call her much sooner than planned, we’ll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand.”
"I’ll lend you for a little while a child of mine,
God said,
for you to cherish while she lives,
and mourn for when she’s gone.”

*wiping my tears* I know that God knows best and his perfect will be done. Layla Grace and her family are deeply in my prayers.
Such a beautiful little girl, an amazing spirit and such a heartfelt poem. I think by the 2nd paragraph I was in tears. We'll be keeping her in our prayers today.
God,
Though I don't know sweet Layla or her family, they are in my thoughts today. Please wrap your arms around them as they endure this very painful time in the life path you have set them on. Fill their hearts and minds with all the beautiful memories they have made with their precious baby girl and prepare them for whatever loss may come. As for sweet Layla, I know she'll be taken care of in your heaven. May her spirit soar and flutter back down from time to time to kiss the cheeks of her parents.
Thank you and Amen
Tiffany
