grateful

I wanted to take a moment to express how grateful I am today.

First and foremost that my Layla was unscathed on Sunday.  And secondly, for all of you.  So many of you left me such comforting words, and you really have no idea how much I needed to hear them.  So, with all sincerity I thank you.

Of course I feel like the suckiest mom on the planet...and I doubt that will change anytime soon.

But I do realize I am not the first mom to deal with such a heavy burden of failure, and unfortunately, I won't be the last.  But to know that people understand, that people forgive you, and we are all here to live another day...that will suffice for now.

No doubt this is a reminder to love a little deeper, hold a little tighter, laugh a little longer and appreciate until it is truly all over.  I am grateful today.

Awww. I am so sorry to hear you had to experience something so scary, but what a blessing to have caught her when you did and save your baby. I am glad everyone is OK. Don't be so hard on yourself. You are a great mama. xoxox

Meli, you are a GREAT mom. Don't forget that. Layla has more love and security than she could ever ask for, and, in her little world, those are the things that really matter. You take care of her in every way possible and she will turn out an amazing person because she has a mom like you.

You are such an awesome Mom! My dear, the whole fact that you're still thinking about what could have happened...and how you're thinking how to prevent it...means so so much & that is why you ROCK as a Mom. Bad Mom would be all "meh, next time you'll learn"

Heads up my dear; you are one great Momma.

'My worst enemy is my memory.' I feel that on one a daily basis. :D
