Rain or Shine

Here in South Texas, and more specifically in HOUSTON, Texas, you can count on one thing.  Always.  You never know what the weather is gonna do.  AND it can go from the perfect sunny day to a torrential downpour the next minute.  And you can basically count on that.  For.  The whole year.

Cue Saturday.

I had Layla's 3 year pictures scheduled.  Weather was great (hot, but great) all day until I get a call from Jill.

Me: "hello!"
Jill:  "Meli, is it raining at your house?"
Me:  "No."  (laughing because we have rescheduled about 3 times already.)

So to make a long story short.

We decided to just go with it.  Chance it.

Then we cancelled.  And rescheduled for the next day.  Same time.  Same place.

Then we decided to go with it.  Except a chance in location.  Downtown Houston, instead, where we had our family pics 'scheduled.'

It was pouring on my side of town.  Pouring.  But, it was clear half way there.  I got a bit turned around, but just as I found it...

...it started to rain...

Here are some of the fun and wonderful and cute and pouty pics Jill scored.  Despite the rain.

I must commend Layla and Jill.

Speaking of Jill...she is the lady and creative genius behind not only the photography, but part of the fashion in these shots!  To order a shirt similar to the one Layla is rockin'...order here!
