Miscellaneous Monday

Hey Folks!

I am sure some of you guys are wondering what in the heck???  What has this blog turned into?  Boring.  Depressed.  All about the heart.

Well, on Friday, October 29th, I took Layla in for her regular 3 year check up...when her doc discovered a irregular heartbeat.  Madness ensued.  Not really.  But, we have been quite busy.  Travelling back and forth to Texas Children's Hospital, etc....

Currently, I am the docs are testing my anxiety levels.  Not really.  But, I am going nuts waiting on the Holter Monitor results from last week.

But, to free my mind and focus on the positive...other things have happened since that Black Friday.  Ha!  Such as....

Going to San Antonio to see my niece, Paige, age 6, particpiate in a Cheerleading Competition...

I think her cousin was a TAD excited to say that was HER cousin!  Just look at those faces?  Hard to get much cuter than that!

And I got to see my sweet nephew, Ethan.  He is 14!  That still blows my mind...

And now on to the part that made me mad.  Check out her college age Cheerleading outfit?!?!!!!  WTF??!!??!!

That is just uncalled for.  I think.  Whatever happened to the original, typical Cheerleading Uniform?  You know, like these...

Too sexy.  Too young.  And here I am....the old-not-so-cool mother.  Ugh!!!!  Oh well, I'll take it.  Over 3, 4, 5 and 6 years olds dressed as College aged Cheerleaders!  So.not.cool.

But, I tell you what IS cool.  This g-ma down below.  That is 90 years of pure woman!

And that is Layla "fixin' her nails."

And that is Layla lovin' on Honey's teddy bear.

Oh, the sweet, suh-weet memories!!!!  I love seeing these two together...plus my momma!  We got 4 wonderful generations.

And there was no way we could escape San Antonio without some friend interaction as well!

And that wraps it up for today.  Of course I am always about a month behind...and my card reader at work is not reading my Nikon D100 pictures...which I have been having a wonderful time with.

So stay tuned....more pics and stories coming soon.

oh my, that cheer outfit is all wrong on so many levels. I couldn't agree with you more that the original cheer outfit is SO much more appropriate! ( I had no idea that kids that young even cheered?) Seems like it would be a really fun sport!!

What in the world is with that cheerleading outfit? I mean, your niece is so cute but dang...I think I'm old.

And I can't say this enough, Layla is so darn adorable!

Those uniforms are so inappropriate. What happened to allowing little girls to be little girls? Geez. Your Layla lights up my day. Love her red curlz and big smile.
