Dia de los Muertos - 11.02.10

Growing up in San Antonio, Texas ~ a city rich in Mexican-American culture...I was always aware of Dia De Los Muertos and the celebrations surrounding this holiday.  It is one of my favorites.  In honor of this, I bring you...

As a well-spent day brings happy sleep, so a life well used brings happy death.

~ Leonardo da Vinci

The call of death is a call of love. Death can be sweet if we answer it in the affirmative, if we accept it as one of the great eternal forms of life and transformation.

~ Hermann Hesse

Let children walk with Nature...and they will learn that death is stingless indeed, and as beautiful as life.

~ John Muir

The day which we fear as our last is but the birthday of eternity.

~Lucius Annaeus Seneca
