Myself, as well as many of you, I assume ~ are heartbroken, sad, disgusted over the Trayvon Martin trial outcome.  It hurts my soul so deeply to see this country in the shape it is in.  The Justice System....is flawed, to say the least.

And we now know, it wasn't an alleged murdered....but a murderer, who was aquitted.

So what comes next?

As AMERICANS we should ALL STAND and see to it that JUSTICE is served and that Trayvon Martin did not die in vain.  With skittles and juice in his pockets.  CIVIL RIGHTS ARE CIVIL RIGHTS!!!

I'm summer sick!!!!

Ugh, ya'll.  I really reeeeeeeally do NOT like being sick in the summer.  Granted, no time is a good time for illness.  But when it is hot outside and you feel like your death bed is around the corner....it's just so uncool.  {that what she said}

I am thinking if someone could bring this tiny piece of paradise to me, I would probably start feeling much better.  Any takers?

Oklahoma, in prayer

It is absolute heart ache to hear and see the images of devestation and the aftermath left in Oklahoma today. 

My prayers remain strong, consistent and plentiful.

Tragedies strike often.  This is apart of our world...but when young, innocent children are involved, it makes that sting so much more.  Some of the images I have seen tear me apart. 

Our Oklahoma family is safe.  For now.  More strong storms are expected.  They need our prayers.

We had plans to visit Oklahoma this week.  We have a cousin who is terminally ill with cancer and we wwere hoping we could visit with him before the inevitable.  Right now that visit is on hold.

I am hoping my new RED hair color that is taking me awhile to get use to....looks more like these fab 'dos....

First things, first!  My dad came through surgery well.  He is still recovering in the hospital, but the scary stuff is over.  I hope.  I pray.  Thank you all for your sweet comments, prayers and the like.  

This spring-like weather in Houston has me longing for spring time looks....and this combo below completely does it for me.  Now if only I could attach my head to all that.
