Myself, as well as many of you, I assume ~ are heartbroken, sad, disgusted over the Trayvon Martin trial outcome.  It hurts my soul so deeply to see this country in the shape it is in.  The Justice System....is flawed, to say the least.

As AMERICANS we should ALL STAND and see to it that JUSTICE is served and that Trayvon Martin did not die in vain.  With skittles and juice in his pockets.  CIVIL RIGHTS ARE CIVIL RIGHTS!!!

have I mentioned the crazy!?!

My world is absolute insanity right now!  And I am longing for these "boring" and quiet Oklahoma days again...

Did you know many {mainly Hispanic} 15 year old girls celebrate what is know as a Quinceanera?  They are celebrating becoming a young woman.  This stuff is like a mini wedding, as far as expense goes.  And dresses, and standing parties....

I've stood in many a quinceanera in my days.  I am from San Antonio, Texas, afterall. 

Well, my friends....I am currently planning my soon-to-be FIVE year old daughter a mini CINCO year-agh party!!!!  Get it?  Yeah, it is over the top and completely breaking me.

But, you should all know at this point....I'd do just about anything for my baby girl!  I mean, just look at that face!!!! 

6 months then.  Almost FIVE years old now.  **sniff sniff*

Pray for me.  It is on Saturday.  I will post all details next week.  It should be a rootin' tootin' good ole time ya'll!!!!

Addison's 5th "Candy"-licious B-Day Par-Tay!!!!

Layla's BFF, Addison, turned 5 a few weeks ago!!  {Um, blow me away with a feather!!!  eeek!!!} 

But this past weekend it was celebrated with a super sweet CANDY-licious birthday party at The Bake Shoppe and Cafe in Cypress, Texas.  This place was soooo uber vintage chic and fun.  I could go on and on...but I will let the party and the decor speak for itself.  I was in HEAVEN!!!!  And so were the kids. 

I mean LOOK AT THAT CAKE!?!  I think I know where I am ordering Layla's!!!

Seriously...that cake!!!  It was yummmmm-meeee!!!!

Quotography - Happiness

I am completely bending the rules today by picking two photos, but I just can't help it!!!!  And you will soon understand why.

A.  She makes my heart melt! 

And B.  I couldn't help but use this photo again today!!! 

We are welcoming Nicolasa back from a small hiatus and I am so happy she is gracing us with her presence once again.  I have missed her and I truly wish her all the happiness!  I would say that the world has to offer...but we all know happiness starts with ourselves.  Cheers!

from Picnik to Pic Monkey I go...

So those of us lame uber not professional photographers who were using Picnik for editing our nice pics to completely happening pics...now know Pic-NOT will be closing down in a short week or so....

So what now?  Where do we go?  Photoshop!?!  Oh hell to the no...or at least not yet for me!  So off to Pic Monkey I go!!!!

Here is my first tester.

While they do not have all of the bells and whistles Picnik had...it is FREE!  So I can deal.

I just kinda minimized the junk on the bottom and obviously put a different finish to it!

our Easter...

...consisted of family, friends, eggs, dye, the Easter Bunny and such. 

Saturday we headed out to The Dominion to snap some pics with the uber cool Easter Bunny.  This was the first year Layla has not been completely freaked out by him...so I'd say that was a winning day!

Of course, my niece, Paige, was the reason she went up to him in the first place...

If you said Paige's bangs, then you win the Golden Egg!!!  Say hello to 3/4" of bangs ala Paige, herself.

Moving on....to dye!

Speaking of...Layla recently asked me to dye her hair!!!!!  WTH!?!  Um, hell to the no.  Back to the dyed eggs.

And Miss Paige's lovely eggs...they had a blast and every single one of their eggs HAD to be glittered!  But of course...

And then on Easter Sunday, Layla showed this face x hundred because of all the special treats the Easter Bunny, and mommy and daddy, and MiMi and Popo and NaNa and PaPa present to her!  This has, by far, been the mmost fun year of celebrations yet!!!  She was so into it....and thus, so were we!!!! 

Happy Easter baby girl....we love you so!

At the end of Easter Sunday, my friend, Juny - and all of the other loved ones that have passed on...gave me a beautiful display of sun rays to let me know they are still with us...smiling down on us always!  Thank you for that....I treasure those moments.
