San Antonio, Texas is proud to continue to host One of The Country's Largest MLK March Celebrations. This year marked the 25th year....and who better to be the keynote speakers? Martin Luther King III, the oldest child of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Coretta Scott King.
Makes me proud to call San Antonio MY hometown. And I hope it helps breakdown the stereotypes of my beloved state of Texas. Knowledge is power.
Please take a moment and read this short blog post.

I read the post . . . seems like it was a beautiful celebration. You're right about knowledge and awareness. I think about racism all the time and how deeply embedded it is within people. It may sound silly, but I get hopeful when I see movies and tv shows and commercials (and kids' books!) portraying interracial couples, etc. . . because I think that the media needs to change in order for people to change (unfortunately). The good news is that we're headed in the right direction, even though we're not there yet. Thanks for bringing light and awareness to people, Melissa!!
