Zoo Boo 2011

The Saturday before last, daddy decided he wanted to take Layla to the Zoo Boo at the Houston Zoo.  Had I known, I would have put her in her costume, but that's neither here nor there.  He flies by the seat of his pants.  It's just how he rolls.  And I am cool with that....I roll with the punches. 

So off to the zoo we went!  Layla just happened to be in festive attire, so we were all to the good anyway.  Go momma.

While the Zoo Boo festivities were fun, no doubt, I think Layla really enjoyed feeding the giraffes the best.  It was our first time to do this...and it was fun!!!  Giraffes tongues are incredibly long!!!! In case you didn't know.

I just loved this lil guy.  He was just hanging around...waiting for his close up.  So I obliged.


I look half asleep in this picture, but that's okay...daddy did a good job at snappin', so I'll take it!  I only get one chance...and this was it!  Not too shabby.

    The picture of the sunflower is gorgeous! Love it. Love all your pictures....but you already know that! You guys are too cute. And that tunic you have on is so cute!

    Oh....she's such a beautiful mix of you both!!! We would've gone to the zoo, but I heard its terribly packed here at the Fort Worth one.

    ok your photog skills rock my socks off that photo of the flower you should totally submit in a contest for real!! That pic of you and Layla is so cute...she is so beautiful like you!! You don't look tired in that pic girl! LOL that ur hubs flies by the seat of his pants I do to it drives the hubs nutso...glad Layla was already festive dressed two points mama whoo hoo...omg giraffe tongues r so long and purple blue lol...one licked me when Kelcee and I was feeding it at the Baltimore zoo bwhahhahaa xoxo Sums

    Layla has the biggest, brightest, prettiest smile around. She smiles for pictures like a grown up! And those brown eyes are heart-melting.
